Quadvest CEO Update - 3/18/2020

Dear Quadvest Customers,

As the global COVID-19 crisis continues to develop, Quadvest wants you to know that your water is safe.  The COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking-water supplies. Based on current evidence, the risk to water supplies is low. Quadvest customers can continue to use and drink water from their tap as usual.

EPA has established regulations with treatment requirements for public water systems that prevent waterborne pathogens such as viruses from contaminating drinking water. Coronavirus, which causes COVID-19, is a type of virus that is particularly susceptible to disinfection. Standard treatment and disinfectant processes are expected to be effective. EPA is coordinating with federal partners, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and will continue to provide technical assistance and support, as appropriate.

Quadvest has a deep understanding of the importance of uninterrupted water service.  Quadvest people work around the clock, and always have, to ensure our water is safe.  Recently, we have installed additional remote monitoring devices at water plants that enhance our operations and monitoring of our water facilities.

While our office and support staff will be operating on a modified schedule, water plant operations will continue as normal.  Quadvest water and wastewater operators will wake up every morning, put their uniforms on, and go to work to ensure we all have safe clean drinking water.

Simon Sequeira
CEO, Quadvest
